The events organised by The Friends continue to evolve in quality and are very popular in the village and surrounding community. In many ways, they are an advertisement for thechurch as we generate community-based activities which project St John’s as an active part of Old Sodbury village.
Events centre around a themed topic, usually involving a delicious meal and drinks with supporting entertainment. Funds are raised through ticket sales for the events which are usually held in the Old Sodbury Village Hall.
These very well-attended and much-appreciated events are planned and organised by the Friends committee which is currently made up of Tracy Shipp, Alan Watts, Linda and Richard Hore, Sheila and Richard Purdom.
