The nation is united in celebrating the life and service of our wonderful queen, Elizabeth II. For 70 years she has been faithful in service, keeping the promises she made in 1953 on the occasion of the Coronation.
She has led by example and has been a blessing, not only to our nation, but to the wider Commonwealth and world. The celebrations have served to bring us together as one, more than any other single event, and, in the midst of such gloom and despair, have provided a high point in our calendar – a celebration that comes at the end of two years of Covid lockdown.
In many respects it is unique, unlikely to be repeated in the foreseeable future. It also celebrates the longest serving reign of a British monarch in over 1000 years.
Queen Elizabeth gives all credit to the God whom she loves and serves.
God Save the Queen!
