Giving lies at the heart of the Christian message. God has given so freely to us and in return we give back to God.
Our church serves the community and as we support the church we support the community which it serves.
Our benefice of churches has an account already through Stewardship. We encourage you to use this facility. You will also be given the option of making a one-time donation or setting up a standing order on a repeating basis.

How to Give
Giving through Fundraising.org and Parish Giving
Our preferred method for receiving donations is via Stewardship’s Fundraising website (formerly Give.net).
We also support the Parish Giving Scheme

Popular Funds
General Fund
These funds cover the main operational expenses of the church.
- £5 per month would help pay for the cleaner
- £10 per month would help pay for the organist
- Help towards the £65 per month for routine maintenance costs for one church
- Help towards the £75 per month to cover heating bills for one church in the winter
- Help towards £100 per month needed to cover major expenses
There are also general staffing costs and a monthly Church Centre cost of around £200.
If individuals gave these amounts it would go a long way to meeting the identified costs.

Structural & Fabric Fund
Building Maintenance costs are considerable, especially with four churches to maintain that each have an average age of around 700 years!
We are currently looking at £10,000 that is needed right now. Can you help?
A Thanksgiving Offering
Drawing to the end of lockdown is it not time to recognise with gratitude our thanks to Almighty God for keeping us safe?
In Old Testament times God’s people were encouraged to bring a Thanksgiving Offering. Might we consider doing the same out of our love for God?
Wills and Legacies
This is an opportunity for providing for future generations.
It is a specialist area and we shall be developing a new web page to cover this area and the opportunities before us.
About Your Donations, Where & How They are used
Your donations are safe in the hands of St John’s PCC. If designated they will go to the named project. Undesignated funds will be allocated where they are most needed.
