Study Group options

We currently have three groups that meet regularly. And they each have their own characteristics:

  • Church Centre group – led by Rev Steve Abbott. This meets Tuesday afternoons in the Church Centre.
  • Together Group – coordinated by Joy Fussell, it meets via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings at 7pm
  • Home Group – led by Frank Gray meets in person on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings at 7.15pm at the home of Richard and Linda Hore.

Use the Contact Us tab for more information.

We provide the following:

Our groups each focus on various books or sections of the Bible.

  • Joy Fussell’s group uses study material  put out by agencies such as CWR and focus on a particular theme or book of the Bible. They meet via Zoom from the comfort of their own homes.
  • Steve Abbott leads studies on similar materials but his in-person group meets on Tuesday afternoons. This suits those who prefer personal interaction while meeting in daylight hours.
  • Frank Gray’s group have been working their way through the New Testament writings of St Paul, usually devoting each evening to one entire chapter. These studies lean heavily on William Barclay’s notes and are useful for exploring the shades of meaning contained in the original Greek text.
