An opportunity to discover once again the power of music. The requiem may not sound like everybody’s cup of tea but even those who normally have little appreciation for classical music have to admit that it can certainly propel one into another world – beyond our own.
Such is the case with the Thousand Colours Of Sunset requiem written and composed by SVB’s organist Jonathan Crow. He feels he was inspired as he composed this 10-movement work of art. Those who have heard it would agree.
The premiere performance was in March but there is an opportunity to hear it again at the Chipping Sodbury Festival – Friday June 15th at St John’s Church Chipping Sodbury BS37 6BQ. For full details see https://svbcofe.org.uk/sunset
