Our Benefice of churches has many other activities available, tailored to suit your interests and needs Find below a variety of these that you might consider…

Mothers Union

Our local branch is very active and well-attended, with members coming from the surrounding area. They meet monthly at 2pm on the second Monday in the Church Centre.

Bible Study and Fellowship Groups

There are three groups that meet regularly and cater to different preferences. Rev Steve Abbott leads one on Tuesday afternoons in the Church Centre. Joy Fussell coordinates the Together Group that meets in the evening via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Frank Gray leads a group that meets in the home of Richard and Linda Hore on the evenings of the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.

Pastoral Care

A well-trained team is ready and prepared for tending to the pastoral needs of many in our communities – especially at times of major life events or illness. If you have a specific need – or know of someone else who does – kindly contact the SVB office <office@svbcofe.org.uk>

Bell-ringing

Our bell-ringers celebrate with an award at a 2025 annual bell-striking competition. Contact Chris Cooper <ckcooper19@gmail.com> if you are interested in knowing more about their regular activities.

Prayer & Meditation

We believe in the power and effectiveness of prayer and intercession. For that reason we have two prayer meetings: one focused on our Benefice churches and the other focused on mission endeavours that we support – both local and overseas.

Benefice prayers are on the 2nd Thursday of the month, via Zoom at 7.30pm. Global Action mission prayers are on the 3rd Thursday also via Zoom at 7pm.

There is a also a Meditation group led by Roger Nailer
