Her beautiful brown eyes sparkle in the night
Like a bright glimmer of a garden light
Her shining black fur is as dark as space
Like patches of freshly laid snow on her face
She curls up in a ball like a woodlouse
After searching for the sun in our house
When it’s time for her walk she is filled with joy and shrieks like a seal
At six o’clock she jumps up and whines to remind us it’s time for her meal
It can be frustrating when I stand up and she steals my seat
Sometimes I think where is the receipt?
We love her with all our heart and she loves us back
Especially when we give her a belly rub, or a snack.
